DAILY UPDATE ➳ i thrifted a really rare Miss Peregrines copy!

I've noticed that all of my daily update posts are written after 9pm and posted around 10pm at night. Oops. Anyway, good evening! I hope you all had a good day. Yesterday, I worked on a bunch of blog and instagram stuff so I hope you're enjoying it so far. If not, be sure to check out my instagram to see what I've been up to. 

I didn't do much work today because I was tired and didn't get a head start this morning. I ended up going to Goodwill and I thrifted a bunch of cute stuff for my closet. I also found an incredibly rare copy of Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children which I'll be showing on my instagram later this week. It's the National Book Day copy that they made only ten copies of for an event. Somehow, it ended up in my local Goodwill and I immediately grabbed it. It was so cool to find but I feel like someone who loves the series deserves to have it more. I might end up giving it away, who knows. As for right now, I'm just chilling in my silk pajamas I got from my grandma and listening to french music. If you didn't know, I'm currently learning french because it's the second language to the country I call my second home. 🇨🇦

My reading has consisted of two books today: Bossy Pants by Tina Fey and The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I think listening to The Hating Game is kinda strange and I might drop the audiobook for the ebook or physical copy but who knows. I'll settle for what I've got for now. I plan to just hang out on Tumblr and Instagram for the rest of the night while listening to an Audiobook or french music. I hope whatever you're planning to do is just as relaxing.

DAILY UPDATE ➳ i didn't get the job + i'm kind of sad

today is my grandma’s birthday so i’ll be busy most of the day. right now, i’m going to goodwill & then the fresh market to get her a special dessert. 🍮 she's turning 93 this year! how insane is that? she is such a strong and interesting woman, i swear.               During the little birthday party, i got a call from Barnes & Noble as I recently applied there. It was a mess because 
1. I was not expecting it to happen at all.
2. I've never interviewed before and I'm pretty sure this was a short phone interview. 
3. I've never worked retail before and it was unexpected so I wasn't ready for the questions.
That being said, I really messed it up. The manager didn't initiate an interview but said some nice things. I wasn't sure on how to feel. Immediately after, I get an email saying I'm not qualified. I was more than let down considering I was at dinner so they all knew I was excited about getting the call (I've applied to 9 places now and no one has called). It was devastating and it made me thing about my anxiety all together but that's fine because it was my first ever getting a call from a company and I knew I wasn't exactly the best candidate in a working managers perspective. It still sucks, though. I kind of just want to spend a bunch of money on clothes from Madewell to make myself feel better but I don't have money. lol I love being a teenager in college. #fml

I am absolutely loving my library card because I'm switching out the audiobook for this and the physical copy. It's the best. Who knows how I made it this long without it.

DAILY UPDATE ➳ I finally got a library card

i finally got a library card at the main library today so i could use overdrive… my life is changed. my library near my house doesn’t use overdrive and has one old audiobook on their axis 360. now, i am thriving and listening to an audiobook of Sex Object at 1.5x speed. i can’t wait to finish all these books wow ♡ ♡ also this is Romeo. he’s always here with me while i read (':

life update ➳ a personal spa day

august 3rd, 2018

   good evening! today i've spent the day in bed because i woke up at 2pm... lol don't judge. i decided half way through the day of watching youtube videos and petting my dog that i'd make my own spa day. so here's that! after showering, i put my fav bath & body works lotion all over with an Olay lotion for moisturizing. i used tons of lush products after this so be prepared lol. i love using the Lush pink peppermint foot lotion and then wearing socks because it genuinely makes your feet so soft and this foot lotion is oddly my favorite scent of all time. but anyways, onto skin care!

     skin care has always been such a big routine in my life because it's so relaxing and i have very red acne prone skin. i wouldn't usually do two face masks but tonight i did just to treat myself. i did the mask of magnaminty face mask and then the fomo face mask. i'm aware the magnaminty isn't the best for red skin but the fomo with rose probably evens my skin out afterwards. i went onto to do the rest of my skin care which is long and complicated so i don't feel like typing it all out. i just had a very chill & calming day tbh it was nice :-)

Blog Update 07/29/18

Hello! I've transferred and am still transferring all my content from my previous blog I held through Tumblr. It's a lot of work and it'll take awhile so until then, my blog is under construction. It's not perfect and I need to do more editing to the HTML but I decided to launch this blog because I'll be updating it more than Tumblr (hopefully). lol

Join me in this process so I'm not a complete mess and I stick with using Blogger. It's definitely new to me but I think I'll get the hang of it. While I loved using Tumblr, it didn't come off as professional and was a lot more unorganized.
